York Minster from Precentors Court

York Minster | Precentors Court
This lovely view on Precentors court back to the Minster is one of my favourite views of this magnificent cathedral. The cobbled streets, old gas lamps traditional sash windows all add to the Victorian feel of this street. There is some history too as in 1870 a children's orphanage named St Stephen's opened here

Using a fairly long exposure also added some mystery and mood in the sky and gave a nice marble sort of effect. I decided that a black and white version suited the composition well.
