Constantine The Great.

Constantine The Great
Constantine came to Britain in AD305 with his father Constantius. After his father died a year later Constantine became emperor as the system of succession demanded this and the soldiers in York proclaimed him their leader.
Constantine brought together the whole of the Roman empire under one ruler and by AD324 he had extended his power and was the sole ruler of the Roman empire.
The bronze statue of him was erected in 1998 as a tribute to him.
Many images are shot from the front of Constantine and but the angle I feel detracts you away from the Minster. I wanted to create a bold shot of him with the Minster.
