Cliffords Tower and Daffodils.

Cliffords Tower | Spring Daffodils
A portfolio of York would be incomplete without one of York's other famous landmarks, Clifford's Tower.
Once part of what was York Castle it sits on this huge mound of earth giving some wonderful views over the city of York.
It was William the Conqueror who was first to build a castle here back in 1068, so its pretty old. The English Heritage now manage the property and for a fee you can climb to the battlements and get some good views, especially of York Minster.
