Admiral Von Tromp

The Admiral Von Tromp | Whitby | Saltwick Bay
The Admiral Von Tromp which founded on the coast of Saltwick bay in 1975. This was taken at sunrise in April 2014 as the tide was reseeding and revealing the wreckage of the boat. Also in the background is the famous Black Nab.The Black Nab is a submarine-shaped outcrop of harder shale that has resisted erosion better than the surrounding rocks.
This is a classic location to photograph on the east coast of Yorkshire. The wreckage and nab add interest and the light of the morning adds the warmth, textures in the lava flow rock add details and the clouds add mood.
